175 YEARS OF ROYAL RAILWAY PATRONAGE
On June 13, 1842, returning from a stay at Windsor Castle, the young Queen Victoria made the short journey by rail from Slough station to London's Paddington station, becoming the first British monarch to do so. 175 years later, the British monarchy are still enjoying rail travel and to mark the anniversary, Great Western Railways recreated the journey using Hitachi Rail's newly introduced Class 800/0 IEP.
